About the Travel Photography Field Guide
The Skip Town Travel Photography Field Guide is a collaboration between an enthusiastic traveller and a photography professional. These two perspectives combine to provide a helpful and realistic approach to travel photography for everyday people. The Field Guide was created to help all travellers take fantastic shots without the need for heavy, expensive gear.
Jessica is a freelance graphic designer with a passion for making travel photography easy, rewarding and fun. A few years ago, in preparation for a round-the-world trip, Jess splashed out on a fancy digital SLR but in the rush overseas didn’t spend enough time learning how to use it. She came home with disappointing photos and a broken camera. This experience inspired the creation of the Field Guide, which was developed in conjunction with internationally published photographer Sean Fennessy. Known for his accessible and simple style, Sean has adapted his knowledge of traditional photography methods into an easy to use, no nonsense approach to travel photography.
